For nearly a century, Ebel has been crafting some of the very finest Swiss watches. The company is unique in that it was cofounded by a husband and wife. They dreamed of making luxury watches grounded in both masculinity and femininity accordingly. Ebel’s Beluga Collection follows that feminine tradition that began long ago in 1911. The Beluga Collection sacrifices nothing to uphold the traditions that this fine watchmaker stands for.

The Beluga Collection is designed just for women. More specifically, it is for women who have a tendency to perceive their watches as not only timekeeping pieces, but also as jewelry. A watch can serve as more than a timekeeper, it can become a part of an overall fashion statement or personal image. Watches from the Beluga Collection glitter and shine. Feminine cofounder Alice Levy was a gem-lover and it is no strange coincidence that Beluga watches feature plenty of them. They deliver beautifully set gems against stylish faces, and a diverse spectrum of bracelets that are designed to be comfortable and eye-catching at the same time.

Beluga watches are beautiful and versatile. Imagine a unique watch face that is surrounded by a delicately crafted heart shape and inlaid with fine mother of pearl. Intricate diamond accents round out the overall look of the Ebel Beluga Heart watch. This is just one of many unique and stylish models in the collection. It would be a perfect accompaniment for a special occasion or a professional activity.

An innovative concept introduced by Ebel is the scaling down of the size of several watches in the Beluga Collection. The Beluga Mini watches are smaller in size, yet feature the same intricate detailing and fine craftsmanship as the full-sized versions. In fact, some Beluga Minis leave room for as many as 46 diamonds to be set around the watch case. The tiny watches are delicate yet tantalizing at the same time and are just as capable in the area of performance.

The Beluga Collection watches feature a wide selection of vibrant colors in their mother of pearl faces. Subtle colors like traditional white, smooth rose and baby blue are complimented by bolder statements made by green and royal blue mother of pearl. There are also models that make even bolder statements with stainless steel faces of bright fuchsia and several different blues. Some of the faces feature Roman numeral numbering which is charming and nostalgic, or boldly stated diamond accents at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock.

Each and every watch from the Ebel Beluga Collection is the result of Swiss craftsmanship. The Ebel name and those who stand behind it are known as ‘architects of time’ and the innovative designs found in the Beluga Collection are no exception. An architect carefully designs and plans each and every facet of their creation. The artistry, innovation and attention to detail that goes into each and every timepiece in the Beluga Collection is a part of the longstanding Ebel tradition – they are true architects of time.

Today, more and more people are able to find different means of wearing jewelry and accessories. There are a number of ways to accessorize or make a statement with your jewelry; one of these ways is with different types of bangle.

Although bangles are traditionally Indian jewelry they are now extremely popular in the Western World. Women in India usually wear their bangles in pairs they prefer gold or glass ones. Men sometimes wear a singular one.

In recent years glass bangles have found favor with both Bride and Bridesmaids at American weddings. A widow would wear a metallic bangle as glass bangles are the sign of a married woman, who has a husband that is still alive.

A bracelet is usually made with links whereas a bangle is a thick solid piece of jewelry that can be made out of anything that can hold its shape.

In some cultures that are not so advanced as ours a bangle made of precious metal could be used for a bride’s dowry.

I8 K yellow gold bangles are very popular with celebrities .Gold lasts for ever and makes an excellent valuable gift. Gold bangles are excellent for weddings whereas silver bangles are more for everyday wear.

If you do have a Sterling silver bangle you will need to care for it properly. Keeping your Sterling silver bangles beautiful for many years to come requires very little effort.

Take care not to allow your silver to come into contact with chemicals like acetone, ammonia or bleach which can ruin your jewelry.

You can use commercial jewelry cleaners provided there are none of the above chemicals in the ingredients. Natural oxidation or tarnish often occurs on all silver, which can make your Sterling silver bangle look dull; using a jeweler’s cloth, sometimes also called a silver cloth, will often removed the tarnish by simply using a gentle rubbing motion. To prevent your sterling silver jewelry from scratching against other pieces and to also reduce oxidation store your silver in a tarnish proof cloth. You need to give your jewelry proper care and storage if you want it to last a lifetime.

Selecting jewelry when you can see it, touch it and perhaps try it on is rather easy. The task is a little more difficult when you buy from the internet. You do get a picture of the item but you certainly can’t feel it or try it on before you buy it. The difference in price can more than compensate for this little disadvantage but there are a few things that you need to bear in mind.

If you are looking for genuine pieces avoid items that have the words ‘faux’ or ‘gold plated’ in their descriptions.

If you are in any doubt and need more information then email the webmaster. Email addresses or a means to send an email to the webmaster should be available on the website normally under the ‘Contact Us’ heading.

Finally check if there is a guarantee issued with your purchase, also if there is a refund policy in place. If not you may be wiser to go to another website.

Jewellery, basically, is to adorn a woman, give an aesthetic touch to her beauty and make her feel complete with her make up. From time immemorial it has attracted women with its different shapes and sizes. Sometimes it plays vital role in some special occasions like wedding.

However, there is another aspect of jewellery that is still a mystery for people of this IT age; it is the therapeutic aspect. Magnetic jewellery is the item that is made up of magnets and is worn as jewellery near any injured or affected area of the body. But the main purpose of wearing these items is to create a magnetic field around the area and heal the disease. Like any non-magnetic or general jewellery, the magnetic jewellery is also available in any form like necklaces, earrings, bracelets, anklets.

Magnetic therapy is a very old and proven method of healing many diseases like pain, blood pressure and heart diseases. If you are surprised how the magnets heal, it can be said that they do not really heal directly. Magnets act positively on the living tissues of the body. They help the body to produce its natural pain killer, enhance the process of blood circulation on the part of the body near which they are worn and add to the healing process.

Medical research also reveals that the iron components of our body become immediately responsive to the magnet. The benefits of magnetic therapy have led some creative designer to manufacture the magnetic jewellery that solves dual purpose of style and treatment. This kind of jewellery is the alternative therapy to pain and ache and hence, is becoming increasingly popular among the people from every walk of life.

Magnetic jewellery is the safe, drug-free and non-evasive method of treatment. The most beneficial aspect of wearing it is that you do not have to take medicines that include chemicals. The functional property of the jewellery is accepted far and wide and many people have got the benefit of using it. People who dislike oral medicines and needles or suffer from their side effects have readily accepted the magnetic therapy attached to the new kind of magnetic jewellery. It is just a process of regulating the flow of blood to the artery. The magnetic field penetrates into the skin and stimulates the affected area.

Magnetic therapy was earlier used for healing purpose in India, China, Greece and Egypt. But these days they have taken the shape of magnetic jewellery. Some people have been found complaining about not getting relief even after using the jewellery. The most probable reason behind this may be not choosing the right jewellery. The threat of using magnetic jewellery lies in using the badly chosen items or the wrong kind of magnet. Consult an expert before purchasing any magnetic jewellery.

Wrong magnetic jewellery or low quality magnetic jewellery will not serve the right purpose. The important thing that a person wearing this jewellery should remember is to wear it close to the pain area as far as possible. For noticeable result the magnetic jewellery should be worn for twenty four hours a day. Continuous use gives continuous benefit. Remember that the jewellery with the strongest and largest number of magnet is sure to give you an effective result.

Wide range of magnetic jewellery is available in the market. The type of jewellery that you should wear depends on the kind of pain or disease that you are suffering from. A bracelet is not going to heal your backache anyways. Likewise, there are different other types of magnet that are worn for different types of ailments. This apart, there are some precautions that need to be taken before using any magnetic jewellery.

Magnetic jewellery is not safe for people who use pacemaker or any other metal in the body. Consult your physician if you have serious health problems like cancer, cardiac diseases or any other ailment. Give way to a better recovery process by selecting the suitable magnetic jewellery and make it the symbol of your fashion and good health.

The roaring 20’s saw the birth of costume jewelry in the United States. Fabulous Fakes is a term used for Antique American Costume Jewelry. It is generally fashioned of sterling silver, gold plated metals, colorful glass stone as well as stunning rhinestones. Many designers such as Miriam Haskell began producing their lines of jewelry styles near the mid-twenties. Meanwhile during the 20’s and 30’s, many immigrants from Europe began producing their own lines of superb jewelry styles in places such as New York, Chicago and Providence, Rhode Island.

In the 1940’s Hollywood celebrities began wearing costume jewelry in films as well as in their everyday lives, this helped increase the popularity of this type of jewelry. Joseff of Hollywood is one of the most well know designers of such items, while other popular designers include, Nettie Rosenstein, Eisenberg Originals, Hattie Carnegie as well as Napier and Ciner. The most difficult to find are pieces that date from the 1930’s and into the mid-fifties. While the most desirable of all, are pieces that are signed by the designer or bear hallmarks as they are the most valuable to possess.

Today collecting vintage costume jewelry is very trendy and popular. It is possible for various antique pieces to sell for more than a few thousand dollars. One of the boldest of fashion statements is wearing classic costume jewelry. Today you will find that many celebrities enjoy wearing their favorite costume jewelry, such as Demi Moore, Sarah Jessica Parker, Diane Keaton, Nicolette Sheridan and of course, Madonna. With all those bright, bold and vibrant colors on a larger than life scale, who can blame them for showing off their antique costume jewelry? Vintage pieces are extremely stunning and original owing to their thoughtful craftsmanship.

Costume Jewelry Collector Tips

While searching for precious antique pieces, you should keep these tips in mind, since they can be difficult to fix, make sure the pin clasps function properly and avoid pieces that are turning green. You should also avoid pieces that are missing their stones, since they are not easily replaceable. Some of the best places to look for vintage costume jewelry include flea markets and antique fairs and garage sales, since they generally turn up some very interesting pieces at good prices, sometimes even unbelievable deals. Another interesting place to find great deals on such pieces include rummaging through church bazaars, since you may be able to find jewelry that has been packed away by someone’s dear old aunt or grandmother.

You can build your own memorable family heirlooms by purchasing discount costume jewelry. Besides you can build your own personal collection of breathtaking modern pieces, and possibly have in your collection something as desirable and valuable as those sought by collectors of antique pieces today. For instance, if its affordable it would be beneficial to you to purchase several pieces from designers such as, Prada and Armani, especially considering their couture collections. Especially since these pieces are genuinely original and made only in very small quantities.

Since the beginning of time, humans have made use of creating ornamental jewelry for their personal adornment. In fact recently, there have been located Nassaruis shell beads, that date back as far as one hundred thousand years. That is a very long time when you consider the manufacturing of functional and decorative jewelry. However, historically many jewelry items were first created as a means of fastening ones clothing, the display of wealth and status in society as well as for creating storage units for coins and other trinkets in jewelry boxes. With a bit of research, you will find that various cultures have their own cherished wealthy possessions of precious metals and gemstones. Long ago, wedding dowries included such treasures as the family jewels for a daughter about to be married.

The Early Age of Jewelry

The Cro-Magnons were some of the first jewelry makers, approximately 40,000 years ago. The graves of Cro-Magnons, were commonly found with jewelry made from anything from mother-of-pearl, to stones, bones, teeth and mammoth tusks. Bracelets and necklaces were strung onto pieces of string or animal sinew. They held their clothing together with carved bones. Around 7,000 years ago, copper appeared on the scene of jewelry making.

Some of the most well-known jewelry makers were the ancient Egyptians, who began incorporating gold into their jewelry, which was one of their most favorite metals to work with, approximately 3,000 to 5,000 years ago. Although, the ancient Egyptians had an abundance of precious gemstones to work with, they often preferred to use colorful pieces of glass in their jewelry. They had some very impressive formulas for creating the desired color glass, since various colors were important and significant for fashionable jewelry of that time. For example, the color red symbolized the need of Isis for blood, while green represented new growth and fertility in crops. Most often Egyptian jewelry workshops were attached to their temples and palaces.

Ancient Greece was the birthplace of several types of fashion jewelry worn today, such as the cameos fashioned by Greek jewelry makers. Most often ancient Greek women wore jewelry for commemorating the special occasions of their lives as well as for any appearances in public. They were especially fond of precious metals, such as gold, silver and bronze, while they enjoyed the stunning appearance of pearls, emeralds and amethyst as well as other interesting gemstones. Jewelry then was most often given as gifts, while showing off their social status of wealth as well as for the beauty. Later they incorporated the use of clay and ivory into their jewelry ensembles. Most often their jewelry held special religious symbols, while other styles offered the comfort of lending the owner mystic powers and protection.

Meanwhile, the ancient Romans added their own special flair of creative artistry into jewelry making styles, such as the ever popular brooch. However, their pinning creation was born of the need for securely fastening their clothing. The ancient Romans were very fond of imported goods and made beautiful use of such gemstones as diamonds, emeralds, sapphires and amber. Although the majority of Roman men wore one ring upon a finger, however, there were some who wore more, their women usually wore many more pieces of jewelry than they. Rings of that time were often carved of beautiful gemstones, and utilized for sealing documents with an engraved wax seal, as was customary during the middle ages by kings and noblemen alike.

Considering that our ancient ancestors had a lot to do with the constantly evolving world of jewelry making, we owe them a great debt of thankfulness, for their inspirational means of fashioning functional and ornamental jewelry styles of various gold and stunning gemstones.

The Goth culture centers heavily on appearances. From their clothing to their accessories, hair and makeup all of these come into play when you are trying to perfect a Goth look that doesn’t look cheesy. Goth makeup is one of the main features of this culture’s look. This is their way of expressing their personality. It is considered to be rather dark and a bit harsh in contrast to their pale white skins. But when done properly, it can be very beautiful and elegant. If you are just a newbie to the art of doing this look, then you’ll find the tips below to be very helpful with getting you started.

First, understand your face. What are your best features? I’m sure you want to enhance those. Is there anything that you want to focus the attention on? Understanding your facial features would provide you with a great foundation for picking out colors that you can use for your Goth make up.

Second, choose a Goth style that you want. Everyone knows that “Goth” is a general term and that there are variations to the style and each one is very unique. Are you a supernatural or a hardcore Goth? Or perhaps you’re more of a vampire which will have you using darker and richer tones. If you are the romantic version, you’re goal is to go for the classic look thus using softer tones of the dark hues. So before doing anything else, reflect on which style is more “you”. Look at which things interest you and see in which “group” they match.

Buying Goth makeup can be a little tricky. Not every band can provide you with the best coverage or the best shade. So to get to where you want to be at, you must experiment with a lot of different brands. You will learn which ones are the best through constant trial and error. There are really expensive brands that work great but don’t forget that some drug store brands can work just as well. So the best advice here is to either do a lot of experimenting yourself or ask your friends about which ones they use and ask them about how good the product is. Read makeup reviews online and on magazines.

Now, think about which colors you want. Besides the technique you will use and the part of your face that you’ll apply it to, the colors are an important factor too in achieving the look that you want. So think about which style attracts you the most. Do you like the dark look which uses a lot of heavy eye liner, pale white foundation as well as dark toned lipsticks? Or are you more of the romantic Goth makeup style and is more into the soft blacks, red lipsticks and soft eyeliner? There aren’t any rules to how you can do your make up. Play around with ideas and see which ones you like best. The best looks are the ones that weren’t copied and is something that you thought up on your own. The basic idea is to be unique.

If you decide to get a permanent wave – which most people just call a perm – in your hair, you have some decisions to make. Sure, you’ll have to figure out whether you want some body and waves or a lot of tight curls, or maybe something in between, but you’ll also have to figure out who’s going to do the job. If you go to a salon, it’ll cost much more. If you do it at home, it might not quite turn out the way that you’d hoped. Of course, that might still happen if you have it done at a salon, but the chances of having a big problem with it will be a lot less. The stylists who work in salons don’t guarantee what they do, but they have experience with cuts and colors and perms that most people don’t have. That means that they will be much more likely to do a good job and you’ll get the results that you’re looking for. It’s important that you go to the right stylist, too, if you’re going to go to one at all. If you choose to do things on your own at home, however, you’ll at least want someone to help you. No matter which you choose, there are things to consider, so talk them over with others, do your research, and take your time. Bad perms are like bad haircuts – they take a while to go away and you have to live with them while they’re there.

If you decide to go it alone, there are a lot of different home permanents on the market. Some of them can burn your hair and you have to be careful of how harsh they are. You should also pay attention to whether you can use them with other chemicals. In other words, if you dye your hair, can you use that particular brand of perm? If you can use it, how long do you have to wait between coloring and perming? What kinds of problems can arise if you don’t follow directions? It’s important to know these kinds of things. You don’t want to put a chemical on your hair and then suddenly find out that you’re going to have a bad reaction to it. It’s another reason to do a patch test, as well. This is usually done on the inside of your elbow, and you swab a bit of the solution on there and leave it for the required time – usually a day or two. If you have no reaction to it, then you don’t have to worry about it damaging your scalp. You might also want to do a strand test. To do this, you’ll need to snip off a small piece of hair and put the perming solution on it for a required period of time. This will help to show you whether the perm solution will curl your hair the way that you want it to.

If all of this sounds like a bit too much for you, you might want to just go to a salon and let the professionals handle it. It will be quite a bit more costly than it would be if you had done it yourself. It will also be safer for you and your hair. You shouldn’t get the frizz that you otherwise might if you permed your own hair, and you won’t have to worry quite so much about bad chemical reactions and other problems. Stylists are usually pretty thorough about how they check for hair coloring and adverse reactions. They will do tests before they put any chemicals on your hair so you won’t have to worry. Avoiding the hassle of home perming and just going to a salon to have it done if you can afford it is usually the way to go.

1. Choose stretchy fabric. Buy clothing with a lot of stretch but that fits snuggly around the belly and your curves. Wearing bigger clothes may sound comfortable and practical, but clothes that do not hug your figure will actually make you look bigger than you are and you may be mistaken for overweight rather than pregnant. Choose clothing that emphasizes the parts of your that are not expanding - such as ruched sleeves to show off your arms, cropped pants or skinny jeans if you have trim legs.

2. Buy tops with ruching designs. Ruching is when the fabric is gathered on the sides with elastic in a stylish way to fit snuggly and stretch with your body as it expands. This type of styling is perfect for maternity because it actually trims down your silhouette and allows you to look pregnant and sexy at the same time. Ruching at the sides allows a snug fit over the belly and ruching at the bust also allows for an attractive fitted look with room for expansion.

3. Try leggings. Leggings which used to be so taboo after the 80s are back in style and so much better than they ever were. Today’s leggings come in all colors, lengths and fabrics for any season- there are cropped leggings with lace, leggings with ruching detail below the knee and leggings that hit ankle length for the colder months. Today’s leggings come in all different colors and styles, so choose a good weight legging for the weather with a lot of stretch and pair with a tunic, longer maternity top or sweater. Best of all leggings are super comfortable for maternity and can fit either below, across or over the belly depending on the style you choose.

4. Show some skin. By showing a little skin, you can show you are still sexy when you are pregnant. Pregnancy is not a time to hide behind your clothes and cover up your whole body in shame. Be proud and show off your new curves. For many women this is the first time they can experience some cleavage, so take advantage of this life changing event and try out some new necklines. Scoop necks, cross over style V necks and sexy maternity tanks and tubes are all popular styles in maternity today, so now is the time to try out some new looks with your new enhancements!

5. Dress with color. Although everyone likes black and denim, don’t get stuck in rut with all neutrals for 9 months or you will tire of your maternity clothes very quickly. Instead, mix it up a bit with some pastels and bright tees and tanks for summer and a colorful sweater or two for Fall and Winter. After all, if you already have a lot of neutrals, chances are your colorful items will mix and match very well with your existing wardrobe.

6. Be Decorative. Every wardrobe needs a few decorative accents to keep it interesting. It’s important to invest in a few fashion items with color so you can keep your maternity wardrobe interesting. Try some ruffled trims or embroidered tops and tunics to mix up the fabric a bit. Beaded accents on a halter top can make an otherwise ordinary looking top take on new life. Pick some items with some decorative detail you really like and you will find yourself reaching for them in your closet when you want jazz it up a bit. Small details such as fashion pieces with a styling detail can make pregnancy an even more enjoyable time.
